Hospitality Sheffield – An Introduction

Published Date: 17 Oct 2006

Hospitality Sheffield represents the hospitality industry in Sheffield.
Our newsletter will keep you updated with everything that is happening across the City region with news and important updates that are key to the city’s future successful development and crucial to help your business get the most from increased opportunity.
The association, chaired by the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria’s co-owner Hermann Beck, includes hotels, venues, museums and galleries, theatres, sporting venues, Sheffield Tourism and the city’s two universities and college.

Hospitality Sheffield aims to make more people aware of what successful tourism can bring and the social and economic impact it can have, which is paramount to the city’s future development. We want to achieve business success by harnessing all aspects of hospitality to make Sheffield the destination of choice.

Specific Objectives
The main objectives are:
1. To create the Sheffield offer, being the catalyst for business opportunities
2. To be the key driver in making Sheffield a conference city
3. To provide ‘The warmest welcome’
4. To create and project an image of quality, style and confidence
5. To grow business through shared knowledge and best practice
6. To be a pressure group to improve the tourism environment

Hospitality Sheffield Awards Scheme

This scheme, now in its third year, is a means of recognising excellence in service and promotional work in the Sheffield tourism industry. As the awards become more recognised and more organisations compete for them, they will encourage higher levels of service quality and greater professionalism in customer care in the city.
