Bakewell

Bakewell is a picturesque, historic market town in the centre of the Peak District National Park.

The town is well known for the local confection, the Bakewell pudding, which must be sampled whenever visiting for the first time or simply every time you visit!

The famous Bakewell Show, held every August, is definitely worth a visit. Primarily an agricultural and horticultural event, you will find all sorts of animals being shown along with show jumping and exhibitions of local crafts and produce.

Situated on the River Wye in close proximity to both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall Bakewell is the perfect location for a holiday or short break.
