The Ashoka on Ecclesall Rd was established in 1967. Having had only 2 owners in that time and maintaining an incredibly low staff turnover has led to our loyal customers getting a consistently fantastic curry - week in, week out!
Only as good as our last meal however, we still work tirelessly to source the best products be it spices, lentils, flours meats or even charcoal for our wood fired tandoori oven. In our 43 year history we've provided packaged foods for Harrods, Waitrose and the like.
We're proud to be in Sheffield - the first restaurant to fire up a Tandoori oven no less. Being born in Sheffield myself I'm proud to use sheffield silver cutlery, 70% of our suppliers be it trades, equipment or suppliers, are from the city too.
