Warp Films, an offshoot of legendary Sheffield record label Warp, is helping earn the city a reputation for independent cinema to match its one for music.
The company produced the Shane Meadows film 'This is England', which won a BAFTA for best British film in 2007. Presenting the award to Warp's Mark Herbert was Sylvester Stallone, who was such a fan of the movie that he gave Mark his number. It's stored in his phone under 'Rocky'.
