After many years working for a large Sheffield confectionery company I started out on my own to open my very own craft brewery - The Brew Company.
Sheffield is a haven for real ale enthusiasts, myself included, and so it seemed natural to open my own brewery to contribute to the diverse nature of breweries in the city.
There are now nine small to medium sized breweries within the city boundary and more free house public houses than anywhere else including the famous real ale trial in the valley of beer located in the Kelham Island / Neepsend district.
We now also operate one such pub, The Harlequin, and the whole area is famous for the variety of real ale pubs with live music and real home cooked food.
I'm proud of what I have achieved with my small award winning brewery and pub and proud to be from this great city with it's brewing herritage and vibrant brewing future.
