Aside from the standard business services high street offer, there are some interesting and unique operations in Sheffield City Region.

Legal sector

Sheffield has a vibrant, growing legal sector and is home to some significant strategic and back office operations.  DLA Piper have a major presence in the city, employing more than 330 people, they also have their UK administrative base here.

Irwin Mitchell have their headquarters in Sheffield and have developed their UK back office bulk conveyance processing function, IM Direct, in the city.  Nabarro have their only UK office outside London here, and the city is also home to a rapidly growing office for Halliwells LLP.

  • Over 2 million people live within a 60 minute peak hour journey to work area, 1.3 million of these are of working age.
