Travel around the city

Once you have arrived here, getting around Sheffield is trouble free.

Car drivers have the option of park and ride routes from suburban locations, or almost 5,000 offstreet car parking spaces in the city centre.  Drivers should also note that Sheffield has recently been identified as one of the least congested cities in the UK.

Those using public transport can choose between a network of tram and bus services which stretch over the whole city, many of which run every ten minutes for most of the day.  Trains also run from the city’s suburban stops into the main station.

For those who prefer their own power, cycle lanes can be found in the city centre and out into the residential areas, while walking - if you don’t mind the hills - allows you to enjoy some of the stunning views and green spaces Sheffield is noted for.
