The two universities have an excellent research record, with both ranking very highly among their peer group in the last academic research assessment. Both are also involved in successful commercialisation activities, most notably in the University of Sheffield’s collaboration with Boeing at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, and Sheffield Hallam University’s Advanced Product Development Centre.
